Match 050 EC Active Ingredient 50g/L Lufenuron Match 050 EC Formulation Suspension Concentrate WHO classification II Mode of Action Match 050 EC is an acylurea insect growth regulator which inhibits chitin synthesis and thereby prevents Lepidoptera larvae from molting. Match has a direct effect against eggs and larvae and indirectly on adults and pups by sterilizing them. Inhibit biosynthesis of larval chitin, blocking cuticle formation and preventing cracking. Lufenuron acts moderately by contact and very strong by the ingestion of the treated surface. Match has an ovicidal effect on freshly deposited and larvicidal eggs but also has a trans-ovarian side effect through sterilization of eggs from adults. Rates of Application Apply at 60 – 80 ml/100 L water in vegetables & ornamentals. Application Recommendations The product should be applied pre-emptively from the occurrence of the first pest and/or warning. The period of application of the product is from the 3rd fully developed leaf until the entry into the parga. Up to 3 consecutive treatments are applied at a 7-day treatment interval.
